evidence, instinct, & tiny humans meet

Welcome to Tiny Human Lab—Dr. Joy’s curious, evidence-informed space for raising tiny humans. Here, baby trends get a clinical eyebrow raise, development gets translated into real life, nurseries become places for wonder, and mothers are supported as people—not just caregivers.

About Dr. Joy

I created Tiny Human Lab as a bridge between the clinical rigor of my pediatric OT practice and the beautiful, messy reality of raising children. Here, we move past the performance of parenting and get back to the physiology of it. It’s a space where evidence meets instinct, and where your maternal nervous system is prioritized as much as your baby's development.

As a specialist in sensory processing and infant development, I’ve spent my career translating complex science into tactile, supportive strategies. Tiny Human Lab is my field notebook—a collection of translated trends, studio-like investigations into original concepts, and a place to find the quiet luxury of truly understanding the 'why' behind the 'how'.
